AmSAT maintains a teacher database and includes some great resources on their website, here:
I'm a full member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). AmSAT is one of the organizations that oversees the training and certification of Alexander Technique Teachers. AmSAT teachers must complete a 3-year (minimum), 1600-hour training course to become certified as teachers, and must uphold various professional standards including a code of ethics and continued professional development. I am also on the AmSAT board, so if you have questions about the organization, please let me know!

Constructive Rest
This is a wonderful practice you can do on your own, or with some help from a guided audio recording. You'll lie on the floor in semi-supine (see diagram - lying on your back, feet flat on the floor and knees pointed up toward the ceiling, with your head resting on a book or two). Invite your back to release and widen as your spine decompresses, helping to restore the optimal balance and alignment of the head, neck and spine. You're not just taking a snooze, though - you're actively inviting release of tension, and encouraging that length and width without stretching or pulling - giving yourself invitations or, in Alexander parlance, "directions" - gentle, non-doing invitations to release excess holding and tension patterns.
Here are a few online guided audio recordings to try out:
